Why Vector Shaper Was Developed
Most golfers struggle with the same hidden problem: their natural foot position feels comfortable, but is often significantly off-square.
Even experienced players who align carefully with sticks on the range frequently revert to poor foot alignment the moment they step onto the course. Without a constant, precise visual reference, it is extremely difficult to consistently set up with feet, target line and ball position perfectly aligned.
This incorrect foot alignment is one of the biggest causes of inconsistent ball flight — slices, hooks, and unintended curves that ruin scores and confidence.
Vector Shaper™ was developed to solve this fundamental issue.
It provides precise, repeatable visual references for foot alignment, target line, and ball position — every single time. When your feet are correctly aligned, your shoulders naturally follow, giving you clean, repeatable setup and shot shaping.
Path is controlled by stance. Face is controlled by grip.
Vector Shaper makes the stance 100% visual and repeatable.
How to Aim When Shaping Shots
Vector Shaper™ is designed for both right-handed and left-handed golfers.
The fundamental principle remains identical — you simply mirror the setup.
Straight Shot Align your feet and clubface directly at the target. Path and face are perfectly matched, producing a straight ball flight.
Shaped Shots (Draw or Fade) To create controlled shape, deliberately align your feet slightly off the target line, while keeping the clubface aimed squarely at the target.
- Clubface determines where the ball starts.
- Feet (stance) determine the direction and amount of curve.
The rotator housing allows you to set precise 6° increments, giving lasers 1 and 2 a repeatable stance angle relative to the main target shaft.
Right-Handed Golfers
- Draw (right-to-left): Rotate housing left (closed stance)
- Fade (left-to-right): Rotate housing right (open stance)
Left-Handed Golfers Simply mirror the above:
- Draw (right-to-left for you): Rotate housing right
- Fade (left-to-right for you): Rotate housing left
In both cases, laser 1 aligns with the back foot and laser 2 with the front foot when set to straight. Twisting the rotator creates the desired angle.
Distance Loss When Shaping Shots
Playing a deliberate draw or fade usually costs you a small amount of total distance compared to a straight shot.
This happens because sidespin and a slightly different launch angle reduce the ball’s overall carry and roll.
Typical distance loss (approximate):
- Mild shape (6°–12°): 5–15 yards loss
- Strong shape (18°+): 15–30+ yards loss
Longer clubs (Driver, Woods) lose more distance than short irons when shaped. This is normal and expected. Professional golfers accept this trade-off because the control and accuracy gained are far more valuable than the few yards lost.
Draw Shots – Controlled Curve Toward the Body Side
Vector Shaper™ works equally well for right-handed and left-handed golfers. The distances in the tables below apply to both. The only difference is the direction you rotate the rotator housing.
Right-Handed Golfers: Draw curves right-to-left Left-Handed Golfers: Draw curves left-to-right.
Note: The “Typical Carry” column shows distance for a straight shot. When shaping a draw or fade, you will typically lose 5–15 yards with mild shapes (6°–12°) and 15–30+ yards with stronger shapes (18°+), due to sidespin and launch angle changes.
